General Laborer / Driver - Heavy Lifting

The delivery function of this role includes:

• Loading cabinets from the factory floor onto company trucks
• Driving to delivery location—usually a home construction site
• Carrying cabinets into the home
• Delivery of correct items needs to be verified by referencing blueprint of home layout
• Visual assessment of the delivery site is necessary to determine hazards
• Timely deliveries are necessary to accomplish schedule commitments while maintaining low operating costs of equipment and managing labor cost efficiency
• Drivers are responsible to conduct the DOT daily vehicle inspections each morning
• Our delivery workers must be able to read, write, and communicate English as it pertains to performing the job and in following safe practices and regulations
• They must be at least 18 years of age and have a proven driving record that complies with the company’s vehicle insurance coverage requirements
• Drivers are required to obtain their DOT Med card.

Some of our product weighs in excess of 100 pounds and requires team lifting. Our delivery workers need to be able to safely lift and carry all product. They need to be prepared to work in all weather conditions.

The company tries to schedule deliveries to be completed within normally scheduled workdays and work hours, but off-schedule conditions or busy times may necessitate that deliveries are made at times outside of the normal schedule occasionally.

When there are no deliveries to be made the opportunity to work in the shop occurs. The number of deliveries made each week will vary. Therefore, the number of hours worked in the shop will vary each week as well. The work performed in the shop could be any task that supports the production workload to make cabinets.
