Primary Purpose of Position
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the position holder is responsible for providing human resource expertise and guidance to ensure that adequate human resources planning, staffing, training and development, compensation, and performance management occur. With an emphasis on employee engagement and motivation as well as labor cost control in support of Safety, Quality, Productivity and Delivery the position holder will support the needs of our customers (both internal and external).
Major Responsibilities of Position:
- Oversee associate relations programs, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Identifies staffing and recruiting needs. Uses analytics and metrics to develop workforce planning and other organizational strategies to improve the organization's capabilities. Partnering with Corporate Talent Acquisition for exempt positions.
- Manage and partner with the Plant Manager and leadership team, directing labor relations and collective bargaining agreements.
- Support the EHS team in planning and implementing safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
- Managing the employee life cycle. Serves as subject matter expert for all HR systems and performs administrative tasks supporting the organization.
- Administers employee benefits at the site level, partnering with Finance and the Corporate Benefits Manager to resolve employee inquiries.
- Conducts wage surveys to ensure the organization maintains its competitive advantage.
- Coordinates management training on interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
- Other duties as assigned
- Manage site performance management processes; coach leaders on tough conversations, co-create performance improvement and individual development plans, and guide leaders through the Talent Review process.
- Ensures talent development at all levels and the implementation of succession plans for critical roles.
Bilingual – English & Spanish
A minimum of eight (8) years of human resources experience
Experience working human resources in a plant
A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is required.
Five years of experience working with ADP or similar HR systems
A minimum of 5 years of experience with MS Office Suite at an intermediate to advanced level
PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: PHR and SPHR preferred
Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
