What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Contract Manager position at Development Facilitators Inc. (DFI)?
DFI is currently accepting resumes for consideration for an open position as a Consultant Contract Manager for WSSC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and understanding of either or both the water distribution or sanitary sewer collection systems. Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years industry experience with at least 3 years of which shall have been spent managing contracts. Strongest candidates will have construction management or engineering degrees, accompanied by certifications and or industry license/s.
Specific Duties and Requirements:
Supervises employees including selecting or recommending selection, training, assigning, evaluating work, counseling, recommending disciplining or termination.
Enforces the technical provision (standard specifications) of pipeline construction projects, rehabilitation contracts including water main replacement and cleaning & lining, sewer, water house connection renewals, sewer main by lining and open‐cut, manhole rehabilitation, paving and restoration contracts, water, sewer relocation contracts.
In conjunction with the Administrative Contract Manager, schedules and conduct preconstruction meetings with contractors, sediment control specialist, state, county, local agencies,
Supervises Construction Inspectors on construction contracts, monitors, and documents disciplinary problems.
Reviews and approves the contractor’s current and final estimates, providing the same to the Administrative Contract Manager.
In concert with the Administrative Contract Manager, prepares change and field orders, which are issued by the Administrative Contract Manager.
Recommends acceptance of work as being finally complete.
