DDRC is a 501(c)3 Colorado nonprofit organization located in Lakewood, Colorado whose mission is serving children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and providing support to their families.
What's your day like?
As a Systems Administrator II at the Developmental Disabilities Resource Center you will play a vital role in deploying, configuring, securing, and maintaining Windows servers-both on-prem and in Azure-along with workstations, mobile devices, and network equipment. You'll execute regular system updates, backups, and performance monitoring while troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. Your responsibilities will include managing user accounts and permissions, overseeing third-party support vendors, and ensuring the integrity of company-wide switches, firewalls, routers, and VPNs. You'll analyze service desk performance, manage infrastructure for maximum availability, and develop IT support procedures. Collaborating with team members, you'll assist with user training plans based on helpdesk trends and support various projects led by the department director.
All tasks will be executed within established policies, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA requirements while maintaining clear and professional communication throughout.
Would you be a great Systems Administrator?
To excel as a Systems Administrator at the Developmental Disabilities Resource Center, candidates must possess a solid foundation in Information Technology, with four years of work experience or a bachelor's degree in a computer-related field coupled with two years of relevant experience. A team player with a successful track record in managing an IT service desk is highly desired, along with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft O365 and enterprise deployment systems, including Microsoft Deployment tools. Advanced knowledge of networking-switches, firewalls, routers-and strong experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy are essential. Candidates should be able to articulate complex technical concepts in simple terms, demonstrating both independence and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Familiarity with enterprise-class software, ITIL principles, TCP/IP protocols, and mobile device management solutions, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service focus.
