Position Summary

This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor and will be responsible for operating different stamping presses to create various components.

More specifically, this position will be responsible for activities including, but not limited to the following:

• Operating an overhead crane hoist to load steel coils into presses
• Performing changeovers
• Operating various stamping presses
• Performing quality checks
• Stacking parts into material baskets
• Operating forklift to move parts

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred, but not required
• Must be able to read work instructions and other work documents provided in English
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred, not required
• Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and other simple documents
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and looks for ways to promote quality
• Observes safety procedures
• Must have good work ethic and attendance history
• Hand tool experience is a plus including, screwdriver, wrench, Allen wrench, crescent wrench, snips, pliers, breaker bar, calipers, flood gauges, handheld scanner device and wire baskets

  • Lifting up to 70 pounds
  • Standing, walking, bending, balancing, stretching and reaching for extended periods of time

• Work Environment
  • Working indoors where temperatures could be hot/cold, depending on season
  • Mandatory PPE for eyes, ears, hands, and feet to prevent exposure to hazardous materials or injury
  • May be required to work overtime, including weekends
