Shift and Time: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Day Shift (Overtime Available)
Summary: Pavement Marking Laborers assist the Pavement Marking Technicians/Operators with the layout and application of pavement markings, including painting and installing linear and transverse markings on city streets and city-owned parking facilities. They perform manual labor that often requires mechanical skills. Additionally, Pavement Marking Laborers use various tools and small equipment to complete temporary markings following road construction and parking lot resurfacing.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Mechanical and computer knowledge is a plus.
Essential Functions:
• Paint and install linear and transverse markings.
• Perform manual labor requiring mechanical skills.
• Use various tools and small equipment to complete temporary markings after road construction and parking lot resurfacing.
• Load materials and operate/drive haul trucks and paint trucks.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, crew members, and clients.
• Measure and Prep projects for striping, including setting up cone areas for certain areas
• Daily cleaning or maintenance of job sites, trucks, and equipment
