< / span> < / span>Serve on corporate and division safety committees; review and discus safety needs provide < / span>updates training DOT Hazmat OSHA and related safety and compliance information.< / span>
< / span> < / span>Provide subject matter expertise in Process Safety ensuring industry best practice.< / span>
< / span> < / span>Provide assistance to all locations to ensure compliance with safety and environmental < / span>requirements this may include but is not limited to administering gas tests coordinating repairs < / span>and upgrades or similar tasks as assigned.< / span>
< / span> < / span>Site inspections and corrective action(s) : < / span>
i.< / span> < / span>Train and direct management to inspect facilities work sites and equipment for violations< / span>
and hazards.< / span>
ii.< / span> < / span>Provide direction to management on correcting identified problems in a timely manner.< / span>
iii.< / span> < / span>Follow up to make sure all corrective actions were taken and completed.< / span>
iv.< / span> < / span>Assist where needed.< / span>
< / span> < / span>Responsible for updating maintaining and auditing location safety standards and procedures < / span>on a quarterly basis.< / span>
< / span> < / span>Develop effective training programs for managers / employees that will efficiently cover all < / span>needed / required materials and reduce travel.< / span>
< / span> < / span>Investigate all accidents to determine the root cause and provide recommendations that < / span>eliminate or reduce future hazard or risk.< / span>
< / span> < / span>Track and control inventory of safety supplies and equipment and work with division managers < / span>to keep adequate safety supplies onhand.< / span>
< / span> < / span>Assist with training for new hires and provide ongoing training of all employees.< / span>
< / span> < / span>Review and update MSDS and SPCC plans as needed< / span>
< / span> < / span>Evaluate the effectiveness of the safety program using established goals and make < / span>recommendations and implement corrective action(s) based on industry standards and best < / span>practices.< / span>
< / span> < / span>Serves as a safety / compliance liaison with outside organizations.< / span>

Required Skills : < / span>< / strong> Qualifications : < / strong>< / span>

< / span> < / span>Extensive knowledge of OSHA DOT NFPA EPA other governmental regulations and laws < / span>including OSHA 300 logs and requirements by our insurance providers.< / span>
< / span> < / span>Knowledge of instructional methods and training techniques< / span>
< / span>< / strong>< / span>< / p>
< / span> < / span>Bachelors degree in safety or related field or equivalent work experience.< / span>
< / span> < / span>5 years safety management experience.< / span>
< / span> < / span>Excellent interpersonal communication and problem solving skills.< / span>
< / span> < / span>Knowledge of statistics data collection and analysis.< / span>
< / span> < / span>Knowledge of federal and state regulations.< / span>
< / span> < / span>Proficient in MS Office products.< / span>
< / span> < / span>Occasional travel required.< / span>
< / span> < / span>Ability to work independently and as part of a team< / span>
