What are the responsibilities and job description for the SR. MERCHANDISING MANAGER position at DHI CORP?
Job Purpose:
This role is a key leader in the organization, connecting the value proposition of our business and our products to the customers and consumers who are looking for home solutions we can provide. This person is responsible for and accountable for supporting the sales of Design House products through retail E-Commerce websites such as Amazon.com, HomeDepot.com and Wayfair.com by ensuring optimal merchandising of those products. This person oversees a team of internal and external resources to deliver product pages that convert to sales.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Develop and continually update/maintain customer/consumer-focused merchandising strategy and guidelines by product groupings/types and ensure those guidelines are being met through our content and product data
- Ensure the “right size” development of content meeting all customer specifications and merchandising guidelines across copy, photos, videos, graphics, compliance documentation/iconography, and product data attributes
- Write copy and proof/QA titles, descriptions, bullets, hidden keywords, and our own website required properties
- Manage the storage, availability, organization, and meta tagging of copy and digital assets within Salsify in accordance with data quality standards
- Manage internal and external graphic designers including writing briefs, giving directions and feedback, ensuring proper file management/storage (in Salsify, Teams, and other locations), and overall quality assurance in accordance with merchandising guidelines
- Lead ongoing efforts to improve content in support of sales objectives, and ensure new product and customer-specific product needs are met
- Utilize Salsify reporting and other methods to report on content creation, delivery, and performance
- Ensure product pages on our customers’ websites are optimized for merchandising, including availability, delivery promises, search optimization, categorization, variation/super skus, content, ratings & reviews, and brand presence
- Report on content and merchandising performance, and identify root causes to ensure key performance indicators are met
- Lead internal and external graphics and marketing personnel in support of merchandising strategy and sales objectives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field
- 3-5 years minimum experience leading content creation and E-Commerce merchandising on retailers’ websites such as Amazon.com, HomeDepot.com, Lowes.com, Wayfair.com, Walmart.com, and Build.com
- Strong knowledge and understanding of E-Commerce sales channels, portals, and processes
- Experience managing a company E-Commerce website preferred
- Experience in E-Commerce sales of consumer products preferred
- Experience with photography, video and graphic design preferred
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and execute product and channel strategies
- Understanding of demand generation techniques to drive sales, including content, reviews, promotions, advertising, email, and social media
- Familiarity with key performance indicators of content, sales, and demand generation success
- Exceptional time management and communication skills, with keen attention to detail
- Understanding of how to track, measure and report activity, and turn those measurements into insights that can be used to improve practices
- Ability to manage projects and collaborate with various other people to efficiently accomplish tasks
- Desire to continually learn, as well as create and improve processes and results
- People management skills and team leadership, with particular emphasis on the development of employees
- Clear focus on the consumer (end user) experience and satisfaction

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to the office and warehouse conditions prevalent at the time in terms of temperature/weather. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
Salary : $44,500 - $54,800
