Description
Performs activities and other tasks as necessary in a laboratory environment in our clinical, urgent care, and cytology laboratories. Answers phone calls, provides customer service support with providers and reference laboratories, delivers laboratory results via fax / email / EMR Interface, process laboratory specimens in our Laboratory Information System. Performs and results CLIA Waived tests, assists in phlebotomy when needed. Archives, scans, and fax laboratory documents. Responsible for Quality Control, cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining clean rooms and equipment. Assists with receipt and inspection of raw materials and ordering and stocking of materials and equipment. This position will be a floating position in several laboratory departmens with flexible hours, some weekend work might be needed.
Requirements
One year previous laboratory experience a must. Phlebotomy experience preferred but not required.
