An Accounting and HR Supervisor is a multifaceted role responsible for managing both financial records and employee-related administrative tasks, including payroll processing, benefits administration, onboarding new hires, maintaining employee files, and ensuring compliance with accounting and HR regulations, requiring strong attention to detail and proficiency in relevant software systems.
Essential Accounting Functions:
- Oversee & manage an ERP system and processes. (We use Global Shop Solutions)
- Process biweekly payroll
- Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Bank Reconciliations
- Processing accounts payable and receivable
- Collection of past due accounts
- Handle compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Various other accounting functions as needed
Essential HR Functions:
· New employee onboarding
· Maintaining employee records and personnel files
· Manage benefits administration and enrollment
· Handle employee inquiries regarding policies and procedures
· General office duties
· Supervision of office staff
· Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
· Various HR functions as needed
Required skills and qualifications:
· Strong understanding of cost accounting and exposure to manufacturing accounting with a willingness to learn manufacturing process including work in progress (WIP) calculations
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
· Effective communication skills to interact with employees, managers and external vendors
· Ability to maintain confidentiality
· Strong organizational, prioritization and problem-solving skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Previous experience with manufacturing ERP software
· Meticulous focus on accuracy and error detection
· Ability to input and maintain accurate data.
· Familiarity with employment laws, benefits administration and employee onboarding procedures
Education:
· Associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience required
