Job Description: Pipelayer - Underground Utility Company
We are seeking an experienced Pipelayer to join our underground utility company. The ideal candidate will install and maintain sanitary sewers, water mains, and storm sewers.
Responsibilities:
- Measure and configure pipe routes for sanitary sewers, water mains, and storm sewers.
- May be required to excavate using hand tools or heavy equipment.
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes of various sizes and materials.
- Ensure proper alignment and sealing of pipe joints.
- Conduct thorough inspections to guarantee the integrity and functionality.
- Grade trenches and culverts to maintain proper water flow.
- Operate specialized equipment such as transit levels, rotary laser, grade rods, pipe laser, etc..
- Perform masonry work in constructing/adjusting structures and other system components.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure project efficiency, quality, and safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in underground utility installation, specifically with sanitary sewers, water mains, and storm sewers.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and engineering drawings.
- Excellent physical fitness with the capability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license.
