ST. MARK Catholic School is seeking qualified candidates interested in teaching middle school math for the 2024-2025 school year. This position includes 7th grade-level instruction for 2 classes, and one advanced class for 8th grade in Geometry. The general work hours for this position are Monday-Friday from 9:00am - 2:00pm, for an average of 25 hours per week.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree, an interest in teaching students, and a desire to work for a Catholic school. Candidates must also have taken a college-level geometry course as part of their studies, or be willing to take this course as part of their employment agreement.
ST. MARK is a mid-sized Catholic Pre-K through grade 8 school in Vienna, Virginia serving approximately 350 students in grades K-8. We have two classes per grade from Kindergarten through grade 8, with an average of 20 students per class. •Bachelor's or Master's degree (to include a college-level geometry course, or willingness to take this course as part of the employment agreement)

Major duties and responsibilities:
•Create daily and long-range lesson plans
•Assess student understanding of what has been taught, and modify teaching accordingly
•Communicate constructively with parents
•Maintain appropriate and accurate records in learning management system (Schoology)
•Complete report cards professionally and punctually
•Pursue professional development opportunities both individually and collaboratively
•Provide positive role-modeling for students based on our Catholic Faith
•Represent the school in a professional manner
•Other duties as assigned
