ABOUT Direct Conveyors: Established in 2006, Direct Conveyors is an industry leader in customizing conveyors to customer process requirements and engineering solutions for part and product handling. Direct Conveyors is looking for an Engineering Project Manger to join our growing team here in our Franklin, IN facility.
The Project Manger will provide project and elctro / mechanical CAD assistance for the duration of the projects. Supporting all aspects Scheduling, Customer Contact, Engineering, Manufacturing and Installation Support. Needed is a motivated and detailed individual looking to make a difference in new manufacturing design concepts for this challenging position.

Your skills:
- The role of the Project Manager is to conduct engineering activities in order to enable success of overall project objectives. This requires gathering data, prepares, analyzes, maintains and presents plans and progress reports to monitor project progress. In addition, the Project Engineer will escalate problems as needed and completes project activities.
- Prepares and presents plans and progress reports relating to design intent of the project(s) to ensure that established targets are met and changes are identified.
- Progresses projects through a business / design gated stage product development process.
- Identifies and escalates project problems and supports resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Manage project assignments with the various outside vendors to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.
- Oversees and coordinates the administrative and operational aspects of ongoing projects within program guidelines.
- Reviews project progression status manages schedules and highlights risk areas.
- Meets with customers and reviews ECO’s and impacts to master schedules for project(s).
- Communicates proactively.
Required
- BS degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or 4 equivalent years of related experience.
- Expertise in planning, organizing and controlling all aspects of complex, large scale mechanical, electrical or control systems projects.
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical plans and specifications and applicable plant code requirements
- Experience with contract documents: contract drawings, specifications, subcontracts, contract addendum, and change orders.
- 2 years 3D Cad Experience
- Expertise in understanding client needs, satisfactorily meeting them and properly communicating with their representatives.
- Demonstrated team management, mentorship and leadership experience.
- Minimum Local and regional travel, required.
