Raymond Central Public Schools is seeking a creative, innovative, positive, and caring teacher. We are a progressive Class C1 school district located 8 miles north of Lincoln, NE.
Required qualifications: certified or ability to be certified as an elementary teacher.
Raymond Central offers an extremely competitive salary and benefits. The 2025-2026 Base Salary Step 1 is $41,200 with a compressed front end resulting in a salary of $44,496 in years 1-3. Full insurance premiums paid by district with 2 insurance options available-one with HSA. Single dental is paid for by the district. We also accept all years of service.

Requirements: Raymond Central is seeking a highly qualified Elementary Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year.
- Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in education from an accredited college or university
- A valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate
- Good human relations skills
- Ability to work with students, staff, administration, and parents
- Knowledge of subject area to be taught
- Ability to plan lessons, teach to an objective, have the lesson at the correct level of difficulty, check for understanding during the lesson, and monitor and adjust the lesson as necessary
- Knowledge of child development
- Excellent skills in oral and written communication
Essential Functions: The Elementary Teacher is responsible for the overall planning and delivery of the general education curriculum to students. Specific areas of responsibility include:
- Plan lessons which match the intended curriculum, and meet the needs of individual students as well.
- Plan lessons which have objectives that are at the correct level of difficulty for the learners, and have specific objectives.
- Develop and maintain a classroom environment which is conducive to effective learning.
- Monitor student progress and make appropriate adjustments in the teaching strategies.
- Evaluate student performance, both with written tests and performance based assessments.
- Confer with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators to communicate student progress and resolve students’ behavioral and academic issues
- Collaborate with other teachers at grade level (or in the same subject) in planning instructional goals, objectives, and methods that represent the desired outcomes for the curriculum and the essential learning skills for students.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of attendance, absences, tardies, and other information as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations.
- Develop reasonable rules for classroom behavior and procedure, and maintain order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.
- Follow the policies, regulations, procedures, and expectations established by the Board and administration.
- Attend staff meetings, conduct parent/teacher conferences, and participate on committees as required.
- Participate in professional growth through an ongoing program of workshops, seminars, conferences, inservices, and/or advance course work at institutions of higher learning.
- Serve as a positive role model to students
