Material Handler - $18-$22/hr
Sunlite Plastics is a custom extrusion company that specializes in high volume, tight tolerance, flexible medical tubing. We also compound PVC materials for our own use. Sunlite’s customers include many of the most highly regarded medical device OEM’s in the world.
As a Material Handler at Sunlite, we offer a competitive wage ranging from $18 to $22/hr with opportunities for 3 increases during your first year and annually thereafter. This position is responsible for, but not limited to, ensuring prompt and accurate receiving of raw materials and non-inventoried items, cycle counts, ensuring FIFO practices, and general warehouse cleanliness. We are seeking a candidate who will excel in a fast-paced, energetic, and challenging work environment while working within critical deadlines. Sunlite also offers a comprehensive benefits package.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of work area
- Follow safety policies and procedures
- Assist shipping department when needed
- Receive incoming materials and non-inventoried items
- Perform cycle counts on a regular basis
- Work with Operations department to assist in improving re-order points
- Follow all required ISO regulations as communicated through the Quality Management System
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Willing to train the ambitious, energetic, positive individual.
- Proactive, professional, self-starter with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written directions.
Physical Demands:
- Frequently required to walk, bend, stoop, balance and stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to use arms and hands to reach, pull, push, clasp and move a variety of materials.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Operate hand jacks, stand up forklift (will be license certified by Sunlite)
