Diversified Services Network, Inc. (DSN) is seeking a full-time Lab Assistant to join our team in Peoria, IL on a 2nd shift schedule (3 pm to 11:30 pm) M-F. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for unboxing, sorting, labeling, registering, and sample handling.
- Prepare test solutions, compounds and reagents for laboratory personnel to conduct tests.
- Responsible for supporting the team analyzing approximately 850-1000 samples following quality control procedures provided.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High school degree with 1-year relevant lab experience.
- Associate’s degree in chemistry or a related field with 1-2 years’ experience
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Ability to analyze data and accurately document and record results.
- Understanding of good laboratory practices.
- Strong computer skills.
- Understanding of ICP, FTIR, and GC practices a plus.
- Microsoft 365 experience.
SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Works well in a team environment.
- Multitasking/time management skills.
- Well-organized.
