Overview
The Creative Producer (CP) facilitates the media and technical ministries for Divine Shepherd Church (DSC), Little Lamb Preschool and Childcare (LLPC), and other programs so that the communication of the Gospel message takes place with artistic vision on all communication platforms (in-person, YouTube, Facebook, Website, etc.). This position works closely with the Director of Ministries and other staff to ensure activities, services, and events are planned, prepared, and produced with excellence.
Duties Media and Technology
Producer
- Prepare and cover media and technology teams (cameras, sound board, slides, live stream, switcher, etc.) for worship services, weddings, funerals, and other events.
- Organize staging and technical items.
- Find innovative ways to support ideas using gear, equipment, technology, and software.
- Stay calm under pressure and manage sound, lighting, equipment, people, and software during events and worship services.
Video Coordination
- Coordinate teams to create videos that tell the stories of what God is doing through Divine Shepherd.
- Seek out stories from people to show the life of the church and what God is doing through His ministry.
- Coordinate the development of a video ministry team.
- Coordinate the production and posting of all videos for sermons, classes, and storytelling.
General
- Complete a Ministry Action Plan of responsibilities under the direction of the supervisor.
- Develop the media and technology team.
- Maximize the use of media and technology in support of missions and ministries.
- Attend meetings and training programs as assigned.
- Apparent “can-do” attitude.
- Support Divine Shepherd mission and ministry leaders to achieve desired goals.
Technology Management
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of all information systems (desktop PCs, servers, ISP, printers, smart-phones, software programs, etc.) including the routine backup of system information and files.
- Team with the Office Coordinator for the administration of the Security Access system and procedures, as well as building opening and closing procedures.
- Manage the utilization of all equipment (phones, copiers, visual systems, audio systems, etc.).
- Maintain an inventory of all equipment.
- Ensure the configuration of Office 365 is functioning correctly.
- Team with the Facility Coordinator and Office Coordinator to ensure security cameras and door access system are secure and functioning properly.
- Coordinate an asset management system for IT and media hardware and equipment.
Operations
- Team with the Director of Finance and Operations (DFO) and other staff to coordinate media, technology, production, and communications support for the maximum use of the facilities in mission and ministry by internal and external groups.
Main Duty – Encourage
- Support all leaders, teachers, and volunteers as they serve in the ministry.
Main Duty - Evaluate and Manage
- Report to the supervisor, document, and resolve any complaints or concerns.
- Assist in providing reports to the Director of Ministries for the Board of Directors that make possible an accurate evaluation of Christian mission and ministry.
- Manage the schedule of media and sound volunteers through Planning Center.
- Supervise support staff if applicable.
- Manage media equipment and keep updated based on current technologies and budget appropriations.
- Provide support and training for staff and congregational members when media, sound or A/V support is needed.
- Perform general administrative support and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to understand the working of IT, computers, media, sound, and other forms of audio/visual equipment
- Ability to recruit, lead, train and manage staff or volunteers to assist with operations, media, and technology
- Be teachable, flexible, and willing to receive input and direction
- Work together as a team with others and present a positive and encouraging attitude
- Ability to meet deadlines and maintain a flexible schedule
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities
- Effective in using various computer software, security, and media programs, ProPresenter, Microsoft Office and other needed to effectively present media needs
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Active membership of an LCMS Christian congregation preferred
- A mature Christian who loves the Lord and cultivates his/her relationship with God through worship attendance, Bible Study, devotional life, and faithful stewardship of time, talent, and treasure
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
