Job Summary

Complete 1st, 2nd and 3rd day set-up of required micro laboratory samples efficiently and accurately. Utilize all necessary and available equipment within the micro laboratory. Complete vitamin testing by HPLC. Complete physical testing of product.

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform aseptic micro testing (1st, 2nd and 3rd day set-up) of product in an accurate and timely manner.
• Perform confirmatory testing.
• Perform vitamin analysis by HPLC/Titration.
• Perform mineral analysis by ICP/Titration.
• Perform physical property testing of product.
• Properly keep and maintain laboratory logbooks, notebooks, and other paperwork.
• Comply with safety practices while in the laboratory.
• Maintain cleanliness of laboratories.
• Perform daily verification of balances and other minor pieces of equipment.
• Preparation of all media and performance of sterility checks.
• Assist with method development and validation.
• Assist with writing standard operating procedures.
• Perform tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification Requirements:

• Requires 4-year technical degree.
• 1-2 years experience in a laboratory setting.
• Requires a solid understanding of laboratory quality control.
• Must have competent math skills, communication skills and computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets.
• Complete 1-2 years in-grade as a Micro Tech 1/Lab Tech 1 or equivalent.
• Must demonstrate problem-solving skills.
