Overview
DMR Construction is currently seeking a Project Controls Manager to work out of our Waldwick, NJ office.
The Project Controls Manager will serve as the primary manager and point of contact for the Trimble Suite, including Spectrum (accounting) and ProjectSight (construction management). They will assist in creating standard methods for accounting, work breakdown structures, contract management, reporting, and other project-related processes. Ensures controls address cost or budget considerations, scope changes, supplier performance, and other risk levels. They will assist in establishing controls and operating policies that identify, monitor, and mitigate risk factors that could impact the success of a project. This role ensures the seamless operation, integration, and management of the platform while supporting cost coding, budgeting, reporting, file management, and document control. The ideal candidate will be a liaison between the construction and accounting teams, driving efficient workflows, accurate reporting, and adherence to policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
- Act as the primary administrator for the Trimble system (Spectrum and ProjectSight)
- Ensure accurate setup, operation, and maintenance of the software.
- Manager user access privileges and permissions.
- Serve as the integration point of contact between construction and accounting.
- Oversee project budgets, ensuring accurate uploads and tracking.
- Use Crystal Reports for custom reporting needs.
- Ensure all reports are exporting correctly and meet organizational requirements.
- Establish and maintain organized file management systems.
- Ensure documents are filed correctly and accessible to relevant teams.
- Oversee document control and ensure adherence to policies.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures for Trimble usage, document control, and related processes.
- Conduct training and provide ongoing support to team members on system best practices.
- Assist in the development of operational and reporting standards regarding project control systems, including integration with accounting systems.
- Obtain an understanding of company operational requirements and determine how to integrate requirements into control systems.
- Understand the company's historical cost data requirements and work with project operations and accounting to obtain and track this data.
- Oversee project budget set up in conjunction with cost tracking and accounting requirements.
- Oversee the receivables and payables balance on allocated projects, checking the accuracy of invoices where necessary.
- Monitor material quantities and labor hours for specific work tasks, as compared to budget.
- Managing control team across the full range of project control activities including scope, cost, schedule, resource, change, and risk.
- Evaluate manpower, labor hours, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations.
- Anticipate complex internal and external project control issues with impact on the organization.
Qualifications
- College Degree with 5 years of experience in related work.
- Proven experience with Trimble Spectrum and ProjectSight.
- 1-3 years supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of construction operations and project accounting
- Proficiency in Crystal Reports for custom reporting
- Exceptional organizational skills with experience in file management and document control.
- Must have working knowledge of project controls and scheduling software packages.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
