Description
The Front Desk Receptionist is the primary point of contact for all visitors and employees, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment. This role is predominantly focused on front desk management, including handling phone calls, managing appointments, and performing various administrative tasks. Additionally, the role involves supporting the HR department with event coordination and calendar management. Punctuality and reliable attendance are essential to the smooth operation of daily activities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact by greeting and assisting visitors and employees with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls, directing them to the appropriate department or individual.
  • Maintain the front desk area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries efficiently.
  • Support office management with various administrative tasks as needed.
  • Provide minor support to the HR department, including coordinating HR-related events and managing HR event calendars.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
  • Ensure reliable attendance and punctuality to support the smooth operation of front desk activities.

 

Experience & Required Skills

  • Previous experience in a front desk, administrative, or customer service role is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.

 

Education & Certification

  • High school diploma or equivalent

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while using a desktop computer and 10-key phone.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and 10-key telephone system.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
