Pet Groomer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to pets, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the grooming process. You will work closely with pet owners to understand their needs and preferences, while also promoting a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Your love for animals and expertise in grooming will help maintain the health and appearance of our furry clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of pets during grooming sessions through proper handling and restraint techniques.
• Communicate effectively with staff and pet owners to discuss grooming options, preferences, and any concerns regarding their pets' health or behavior.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for pets.
• Monitor pets for any signs of discomfort or health issues during grooming sessions and report findings to management and pet owners as necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service by building strong relationships with clients and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
• Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques, tools, and trends in pet care to enhance service quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in pet grooming 2 years experience is preferred.
• Strong skills in animal handling, restraint, and behavior management to ensure the safety of both pets and staff.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and pet owners.
• Knowledge of dog training techniques is a plus but not required.
• A genuine love for animals along with patience and compassion when working with pets of all temperaments.
• Certification in pet grooming or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 36 per week
