Wedding and Event Sales Manager
The Wedding and Event Sales Manager is responsible for producing Sales & Catering revenue with a primary focus on weddings and events. Solicit new catering customers through traditional and non-traditional sales techniques. This role will establish relationships with potential clients and book events to meet quarterly and annual sales goals. Bonus earned per actualized bookings paid monthly.
Role Responsibilities:
- Respond to WeddingWire leads on a daily basis.
- Conduct site tours and tastings with clients.
- Prospecting for new business on a daily basis.
- Attending events to ensure outstanding service standards.
- Initiate and develop quality leads and follow up within 24 hours to ensure continued revenue growth and achievement of monthly & annual sales targets.
- Schedule and conduct site tours with prospective clients, while representing the hotel in a professional and courteous manner.
- Prepare and execute contracts in an accurate and timely manner.
- Enhance and develop existing menus in collaboration with the culinary team.
- Post deposits and payments in accordance with company cash policies.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and management of annual budget for wedding sales in conjunction with overall sales and marketing plan of the hotel.
- Meet and collaborate with the Director of Sales and General Manager on sales goals.
- Attend local/regional networking events to obtain potential clients.
- Participate in weekly BEO meetings with Food & Beverage department to ensure proper event setup and service per event booked.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure successful social events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local vendors.
- Attend bridal shows as required, host events for new leads, develop referrals from catering halls and country clubs.
- Assist with day of event coordination to ensure performance standards are consistently met and exceeded.
- Other duties as assigned by the DOS and/or GM.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in event planning or related wedding event bookings.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
- Proficient in budgeting and financial management for events.
- Knowledge of catering and banquet operations is required.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with hotel or restaurant operations is a plus.
