Position Overview
Dovetail Co is seeking a hotel asset management and acquisitions professional to become an integral part of our investments team. The candidate will have primary responsibility for portfolio asset management and business plan optimization while supporting acquisition efforts.
The position will report directly to Dovetail’s SVP Investments and collaborate daily with development and operations. The candidate should have direct hotel investment experience and a track record of success and continuous improvement. The position is based in NYC.
Position Responsibilities
- Participate in and provide support for the ongoing asset management of hotels and other investments, including investor reporting, major capital events (e.g., financings and refinancing), strategic asset-level business planning, and the eventual sale of each property
- Develop and maintain financial models on existing assets using portfolio benchmarking and DCF models to track and review asset-level returns and performance
- Consolidate, analyze and model financial data including budget analysis and income statement forecasting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Track hotel revenues, pace, and performance weekly
- Update and complete various investor and lender reports, including financial snapshots and qualitative summaries
- Perform acquisition and investment analysis for potential new properties
- Perform acquisition due diligence and assist with preparation of all acquisition memos
- Assist through transaction management ensuring organized and efficient closings
- Conduct onsite visits of existing assets and target acquisitions as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in hotel administration, real estate, economics, finance or equivalent
- Two years of prior commercial real estate underwriting or asset management experience
- Self-motivated and driven; ability to work effectively in a collegial, fast moving, demanding, and dynamic environment.
- Must have an owner’s mentality and act as a fiduciary for each asset and investment.
- Sophisticated financial skills and capital markets perspective with ability to structure investments to achieve Company’s investment requirements.
- Detail oriented
- Impeccable integrity and trustworthiness.
- Self-motivated and driven with the ability to take initiative, complete tasks, and meet tight deadlines.

Compensation
- Base salary and incentives will be commensurate with experience includes full benefits (e.g., health, dental, and 401k)
