Hours: Approximately 165 School Days
Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
General Description
The Part-Time Food Service Assistant is responsible for supporting the Food Service Director in the effective operation of the high school's food service program. This role assists in the preparation, presentation, and distribution of nutritious meals, ensuring a safe and efficient dining experience for students and staff. The position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and service quality, in alignment with the objectives of the administration.
Qualifications
Experience in high school food service program (preferred)
Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers, staff, and students in a wide variety of circumstances
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to stand for approximately 100% of a normal work day
Must be able to lift/push/pull items weighing up to 50 lbs
Essential Functions of the Job
Basic math and accuracy in counting necessary
Food preparation in regulated portions
Assist the food service director with the daily tasks involved in operating a school lunch program
Prepares daily fresh fruits and vegetable options, condiments, serving the menu of the day to students, dishwashing, cleaning service and dining areas for the smooth running of the food service program for the school
Clean kitchen, dishes, and work area according to safety and sanitation procedures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
