What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Sales Coordinator position at Downtown Grand Las Vegas?
POSITION SUMMARY:
It is the primary responsibility of the Pool Sales Coordinator to coordinate and sell Cabana, Day Bed and other such areas on the Grand Pool Deck and to facilitate guest services relative to those areas in a manner that will maximize guest satisfaction and revenue.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Responsible for pushing sales of Cabanas, Day Beds, related areas and small events.
- Assist with the sales programming of the pool deck.
- Ensure proper execution of a strategic sales plan consistent with the vision of the pool.
- Assist with pool marketing and social media to foster awareness and engagement with the Downtown Grand and local community.
- Assist with the achievement of short and long-term departmental objectives.
- Monitor sales expenditures, track all pool and personal sales figures for proper billing, reporting and service charging.
- Participate in developing marketing strategies to increase guest volume and market share.
- Participate in guest feedback and survey process.
- Work closely with managers to develop professional skills/growth.
- Maintain knowledge of the latest trends in the market relative to environment and offerings.
- Manage towel hut by keeping inventory of towels and merchandise.
- Ensure guest satisfaction through food quality checks and responsiveness to guest complaints.
- Anticipate, identify and provide for guest needs.
- Assist in resolving guest complaints in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least (3) years in Food & Beverage and Sales experience with demonstrated knowledge and experience in all areas.
- Must possess strong leadership qualities, sound judgement and superior decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in creating and implementing sales standards and guest service standards.
- Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with, and sell to all business contacts.
- Customer-oriented with a proactive attitude.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
- Must be able to comprehend all information and documentation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of standing.
- Withstand prolonged exposure to extreme heat.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Ability to work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke.
- Follow all safety procedures as established by the company.
