Overview:
DPG Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled System Engineer to join our team at Aurora, CO. The ideal candidate will work onsite alongside a multidisciplinary engineering team, directly supporting mission-critical systems and collaborating with engineers to ensure technical objectives align with operational requirements. In addition to technical expertise, the role demands excellent communication skills to convey system capabilities and project statuses to leadership and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with engineers and other technical teams to ensure the design, development, and maintenance of mission-critical systems meet program requirements.
- Perform system integration, testing, and evaluation to guarantee system readiness and operational capability.
- Translate complex technical requirements and system capabilities into actionable insights for leadership and other non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to system requirements, security protocols, and technical standards in a high-pressure, mission-driven environment.
- Lead system troubleshooting efforts and provide hands-on technical support to resolve complex issues.
- Communicate project progress, system performance, and technical recommendations effectively to program leadership and government clients.
- Participate in project planning, system upgrades, and system lifecycle management.
- Support system engineering processes, including requirements analysis, design review, and configuration management.
- Ensure mission system documentation is up to date and accurate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for education requirements.
- 5 years of experience in systems engineering or a related field.
- Experience working in classified environments, with knowledge of government systems and security protocols.
- Strong understanding of system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency with Linux-based systems, virtualization, and/or cloud technologies.
- Familiarity with STIG compliance and vulnerability management in government systems.
- Experience in supporting or leading engineering teams on large-scale defense or aerospace projects.
- Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance is required, or ability to obtain and maintain clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with mission systems at military or government installations.
- Strong knowledge of network architecture, system security, and infrastructure design.
- Certification in systems engineering or other relevant technical certifications.
