The position is responsible for material planning, purchasing, scheduling, and supplier relationships for assigned product lines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan for and process Daily Job Traveler Packages for all centrifuge production activities.
- Monitor and review Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) suggestions.
- Create Purchase Orders and Job Travelers based on MRP.
- Schedule jobs based on material availability and manufacturing resources.
- Manage inventory for assigned product lines to ensure inventory is available for customer orders without resulting in excess or obsolete inventory and keeping inventory investment at a minimum.
- Manage the relationship with suppliers.
- Strive to obtain the lowest total cost for inventory.
- Maintain and publish supplier performance scorecards as needed.
- Analyze inventory to establish safety stock, planning parameters, and other standards to provide an uninterrupted flow of materials to manufacturing.

Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Must be well organized, efficient, and a self-starter.
- Ability to facilitate meetings and prepare presentations as needed.
- Ability to negotiate with suppliers.
- Understand current industry and government regulations as they impact the supply chain.
- B.S. in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- A.S. in a business-related discipline plus at least two years experience in a purchasing or planning role OR the equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
- APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management is a plus.
- Alternate education and experience are considered based on individual candidates.

Computer Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, is required.
- Experience with an ERP system is required; experience with Epicor is a plus.
- Sitting, 6 hours per workday.
- Standing, up to 2 hours per workday.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
