Job Title: Event Manager

Job Status: Full Time

Job Reports to: Chamber President and CEO

Job Location: Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches (On-Site)

If you are an experienced event manager who can raise sponsorship revenue and oversee and execute various events, we are looking for you!

In this position, you would be responsible for:

• preparing tailored sponsorship packages, and planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of events to ensure successful outcomes for the organization and its clients from start to finish;
• managing event budgets, including allocating resources and tracking expenses;
• implementing effective time management strategies to meet event deadlines;
• negotiating and coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality events;
• upselling event packages and services to maximize revenue opportunities
• collaborating with marketing teams to promote events and drive attendance;
• providing excellent guest services and ensuring attendee satisfaction.

• effective budget management, upselling, and negotiating
• event management and marketing strategy
• hospitality, with a focus on creating good memorable experiences
• communication and emotional intelligence
• creative problem-solving skills

Ideally, the following qualifications are desired:

• Bachelor's degree in event management, marketing, public relations, hospitality, or a related field
• Two years or more experience in event planning and coordination
• proven track record of organizing successful events
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

In exchange for your time and expertise, the compensation package includes:

• $24 per hour
