The Belle Glade Farm Shop is currently looking for a qualified Parts Expediter to join our team. The Parts Expediter will provide administrative support to Farm Shop, Shop Superintendent, and mechanics. This role will also collaborate with other departments for parts needs, questions or issues, resolving in timely manner.
Job Summary
The Parts Expediter provides administrative support to Farm Shop, Shop Superintendent Farm and mechanics. Coordinates support to various departments as it relates to fuel inventory and accounts payables. The Parts Expediter is responsible for managing the order and control processes for parts inventories.
Essential job responsibilities:
Enters daily ending fuel inventories and reconciles related transactions
Distributes parts to mechanics and other departments daily and as needed
Maintains records of inventory ordered and received
Understanding of purchasing process
Prepares and enters invoices, payments and collections
Schedules deliveries and ensures timely fulfillment of orders
Receives deliveries and inspects against PO
Reports all discrepancies between physical counts and maintained inventory records
Coordinates with department manager to monitor and determine supplies/materials/parts needed
Manages and maintains hours and mileage logged on assets
Builds and maintains relationships with Farm Shop team, managers, other departments, equipment operators and vendors
Maintains a clean, safe work environment
Compliance with Company policies and procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control
Identifies and reports health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries and asset damage
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Basic computer literacy in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel)
Experience in purchasing is preferred but not required
Minimum 1-year experience in general office administration; Basic mechanical knowledge; Parts experience preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Proficient communication skills; Must be able to speak, read and write in English. Bi-lingual Spanish is preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Driver License
First Aid Certificate/CPR Training (Company will train)
