Job Summary
A youth aide (job coach) works with a high school student at a local Dutchess County business for 3-4 hours during the school day, assisting him or her to do job-related tasks, practice work and social skills, and learn to become employable upon graduation.
Responsibilities and Duties
Arrive at job site up to 15 minutes early, greet student, and work with him or her doing tasks the business manager assigns. The youth aide becomes a role model, mentor, safety instructor, and teacher for the student. The youth aide models professional behavior and sets a fine example daily so that the students develops a good work ethic.
Qualifications and Skills
Two years working or volunteering with special needs students or a degree in a related field.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.55 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 15 per week
