Dunwoody Village, a 5-star rated premier continuing care retirement community located in beautiful Newtown Square, PA is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and intrinsically motivated leader to lead our Personal Care and Home Care programs.
This position will be responsible for all aspects of the personal care and memory support neighborhoods in the Dunwoody Village Care Center as well as Dunwoody at Home. This position is integral and highly visible not only in both of these programs but throughout our community and is a member of the Leadership Team. The Director of Personal Care & Dunwoody at Home is responsible for ensuring quality care and high resident satisfaction by partnering with the interdisciplinary team. This administrator ensures compliance with all regulations and develops, revises, and implements policies and procedures for personal care services and lifestyle programs, including Montessori and the Transitional Care Model. As a member of the leadership team, the Director of Personal Care & Dunwoody at Home will be involved in Strategic and Master Planning and serve as a member of the Healthcare Committee.
Our successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Current credentials and at least 5 years of experience as a PA Personal Care Administrator.
The intrinsic ability and personal desire to successfully lead and motivate a team of dedicated and talented healthcare professionals.
Demonstrated ability to build high performing teams through coaching and mentoring.
Experience with, and interest in, Person Centered Care.
Exceptional organizational, time management, and budgetary skills.
Demonstrated experience with quality assurance, compliance, and risk management skills; Strategic planning experience preferred.
Demonstrated experience with Point Click Care (PCC) or similar medical records system.
Our successful candidate must have experience with age specific competencies of the geriatric population in a long-term care setting. Dunwoody Village embraces a Montessori-based resident care program and relevant experience is highly desirable (or demonstrated willingness to lead Personal Care in this regard). This person should also have strong computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office programs. The ability to positively communicate with people of diverse backgrounds and educational levels is paramount.
