The Production Assembler II is responsible for assembling from sub-assembly to the finished unit in accordance with drawings, travelers and manufacturing procedures.

Requirements

 
Primary Responsibilities

  • Performs Electro-Mechanical assemblies in the form of sub-assemblies and final assembly product under a microscope.
  • Assembles ultra-miniature assemblies, or is fully proficient in a specific product line.
  • Operates standard shop equipment including solder iron, microscope, ultrasonic cleaner and ovens.
  • Reworks improperly functioning units.
  • Communicates with calibration department to assure accurate assembly and proper functioning of units.
  • Performs continuous cross-training to increase skills and knowledge.
  • Solders miniature parts under a microscope for extended periods during the work shift.
  • Flexible and capable of processing more complex assemblies with minimal supervision.
  • 3-5 years of Electro-Mechanical assembly experience.
  • Must be able to read and understand engineering assembly drawings.
  • Advanced schematic reading and ability to troubleshoot assemblies.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Good hand and eye dexterity.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Certification for J-STD C or IPC-610.
  • Must be a local candidate
