Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Endoscopy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining a sterile environment. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as proficiency in aseptic techniques and diagnostic evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain endoscopic equipment and instruments for procedures.
- Assist physicians during endoscopic examinations by providing necessary tools and support.
- Ensure all equipment is properly sterilized and functioning before each procedure.
- Monitor patient vital signs and comfort levels throughout the procedure.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures, including patient information and equipment used.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures to prevent contamination.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient workflow in the endoscopy suite.
Experience
- Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation techniques relevant to endoscopic procedures.
- Proficiency in aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment.
- Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology as it relates to endoscopy.
- Familiarity with medical imaging processes and terminology used in the field.
- Previous experience as an Endoscopy Technician or in a similar healthcare role is preferred but not required.
