Financial Systems Internship

Job Description

Eagle Materials, Inc., a leading US manufacturer of basic construction materials is looking for a Financial Systems Intern. The opportunity will last up to 90 days and would ideally be 40 hours per week. This opportunity will be mainly in-office with some flexibility to work from home.

This role will primarily help with the development and maintenance of Python data conversion files. The goal is to ensure information is converted our legacy system to our new ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage Python data conversion files.
• Meet with management to understand how the data works in the legacy systems and translate that into the import files for the new systems.
• Provide status updates to the Director of Financial Systems.
• This role will also be asked to think business process and determine how we can apply automation to the processes.
• This person doesn’t need to know a lot of Python. We can train a person that has at least some experience with Python either through school or some self-taught beginner lessons.

Qualifications for Financial Systems Intern

• At a minimum, the candidate would be studying towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Problem-solving skills and professional communication skills
• Self-motivated, inquisitive, and a positive attitude
• Strong time management and organizational skills

Tools

• These tools you will receive training in and be expected to be inquisitive and learn them as we work to improve business processes
• Python (Pandas, Selenium, DuckDB, SmartSheet other Miscellaneous Libraries), Oracle Fusion, Dynamics SL, SQL, SmartSheets, Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
