SummaryIn the role of Assistant Maintenance Supervisor, you will be integral to ensure the smooth operation of facility maintenance and management. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will utilize your core skills and knowledge to oversee daily maintenance tasks. Strong communication skills and supervisory experience are essential as you lead a dedicated team in maintaining optimal operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
- Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide
- Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
- Review workloads and assign appropriate staff to complete the repairs in a timely fashion
- Ensure appropriate material is on site to expedite repair.
- Place orders and/or reach out to vendors and contractors for supplies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as maintenance technician
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Good physical condition and strength
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong leadership ability.
- Must possess problem solving skills, and strong interpersonal skills.
- MUST HAVE OWN TRANSPORTATION
