Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for nurturing young minds and creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children. This role involves working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, fostering their development through structured activities and play. The Child Care Teacher will collaborate with parents and other educators to ensure the best care and education for each child.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children.
- Supervise daily activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in your care.
- Engage children in interactive play, encouraging socialization and communication skills.
- Monitor children's progress and behavior, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
Skills
- Experience working with children.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques to support positive interactions among children.
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain an organized learning environment.
- Ability to provide toddler care, including diaper changing and feeding as necessary.
- Experience in infant care, ensuring the needs of younger children are met effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and other educators.
Requirements
- Must have high school diploma or GED, prefer college studies in Early Childhood Development.
- Must be able to successfully pass multiple background checks including FBI fingerprint checks.
- Prefer experience in a licensed childcare facility.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
