Role: Solar Sales Consultant
Company Overview: Earthlight Technologies is seeking an experienced Solar Sales Consultant to join our Oregon team. Qualified candidates will be energetic and driven to meet our customers’ needs, leveraging our multiple business lines. Earthlight’s philosophy is to educate the consumer on the benefits of solar energy and energy efficiency. We help commercial, industrial, residential, and agricultural business owners, as well as municipal clients replace electricity, they would otherwise purchase from the utility company with clean energy. We work with each customer to finance, design, build, and install the right solution for them.
Position Overview: Earthlight Technologies is seeking a Solar Sales Consultants to drive Earthlight’s business by working to acquire new customers in the Portland, OR region and maximize the customer experience. Our expectation is that the candidate could work independently on the road in the Portland but also be willing to be present in our Silverton office occasionally to be able to attend monthly sales meetings and ongoing training. We are looking for a driven, personable, enthusiastic, and flexible individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Eligible candidates should possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle a high volume of inquiries by efficiently managing time and expectations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Business to Consumer Outside Sales
- Responding to and qualifying company-provided leads
- Prospecting for potential leads to generate a pipeline
- Conduct site visits, prepare and present proposals, and close deals
- Maintain sales progress and team-wide communication through the company CRM
- Acting as company liaison with customers on an ongoing basis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience strongly preferred
- 2 years or more of previous solar sales experience or business to consumer sales experience strongly preferred
- Sales experience with a high quality, premium product
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Excellent computer skills including Office and CRM (Salesforce)
- Passion and drive to succeed
- Flexibility to occasionally work evening and Saturday appointments
Compensation: Commission only.
Earnings Potential: $125,000.00 (uncapped commission)
