Mobile Dog Groomer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mobile Pet Groomer to join our team. The Days needed are Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We do have the ability to have the candidate work in the salon 2 days a week as well if they are looking for full time work. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing high-quality grooming services. As a Mobile Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering exceptional grooming experiences. This role requires strong animal handling skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Daily deep cleaning of the interior of the 2023 Mercedes Sprinter Van after a full day of grooming.
• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs.
• Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
• Handle animals with care and ensure their comfort throughout the grooming process.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, including proper sanitation of tools and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and any observations related to their health or behavior.
• Provide excellent customer service to build lasting relationships with clients.
• Assist with animal restraint as needed during grooming procedures.
• Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques and trends to enhance service offerings.
• Work Independently as you will be on the road servicing customers at their location.

Qualifications

• Drivers license required.
• Clean driving record.
• Previous experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary assistance or animal care is preferred.
• Strong skills in animal handling, including knowledge of animal behavior and restraint techniques.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or multiple pets.
• Familiarity with various grooming tools and equipment is essential.
• A background in veterinary care (e.g., veterinary technician) is a plus but not required.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor towards both pets and their owners.
• A genuine passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing top-notch care.
