Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
Our thriving private practice, East Carolina Pain Consultants (ECPC), is seeking a self-motivated and friendly Medical Assistant to provide exceptional patient service for our vibrant pain clinics in Holly Springs, Apex and Knightdale, North Carolina. Our practice is a division of East Carolina Anesthesia Associates (ECAA), the MidAtlantic’s most stable private practice. We are growing, and we want you to join our team!
East Carolina Pain Consultants is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant (MA) to join our stable and growing pain clinic. We offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits! This position is part-time and assists the physician in the practice with a variety of tasks including procedures and administrative tasks. The candidate must be willing to travel between our Holly Springs, Apex and Knightdale clinics.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Triage patients
- Take vitals
- Prepare/clean up procedure rooms
- Assist physician with a wide variety of procedures
- Fax notes to other practices
- Document patient notes in EMR (EClinicalWorks)
- Obtain prior authorizations for procedures
- Assisting with front desk processes when needed
- Assist with the C-arm
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Skills
- Knowledge of fluoro and radiology procedures
- Experience working in a clinic setting
- Experience obtaining prior authorizations and follow-up calls
- Proven effective communication skills with patient and staff
- Experience with an office based EMR
