Job Summary
East Side Neighborhood Development Company (ESNDC) is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team. This position involves supporting the Small Business Advisor and the Economic Development Specialist to help local businesses with our East Side Technical Assistants program (ETAP) with program management, ETAP application intake and signed agreements, support our East Side Community Fund agreements, Biz Recycling program and other assistance in areas when needed. This is an in-office position that involves outreach to diverse community of small businesses- in a BIPOC community.
This position requires an individual who is especially detailed oriented and has strong organizational skills. It requires an individual who is skilled and business planning, creating agreements and understanding of small business guidance and follow through. The selected candidate should be comfortable with identifying and pursuing creative problem solving and be able to effectively write and communicate concisely to various business owners and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
· Assist Small Business Advisor with day-to-day operations and engagement for ETAP and ECF.
· Assist the Economic Development Specialist in the Biz Recycling Program
· Technical Assistants – understanding the business client. Help start-up and newer businesses to develop business plans; review plans for existing businesses to assess whether operations, products, services, and cashflows are meeting goals to advance and grow.
· Expedite and assist in creating TA agreements, SOW’s and log into teams for file storage. Assist in tracking TA progress for ETAP services and client relations.
· Assist with loan documents and follow-through with filings and other lending processes.
· Coordinate alongside the Small business Advisor with set-up and check-in for ETAP workshops and speaking engagements.
· Review loan accounts monthly to monitor repayments, initiate collection calls and/or late notices when necessary. Maintain strict confidentiality of all information secured from business clients.
Education /Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field preferred but not mandatory. Lending experience is a plus.
· Familiarity with community-based economic development is a plus.
This is an hourly position at $28 an hour at 32 hours/weekly.
