Title of Role: Demand Planner

Department: Integrated Business Planning

East West Tea is seeking a talented, passionate, and experienced Demand Planner to join our Integrated Business Planning team to support efficient operations by accurately forecasting future demand. 

The Demand Planner will develop and maintain a 24-month rolling demand plan at the family level in collaboration with the Sr Demand Planner. Key responsibilities will include improving demand plan accuracy, eliminating bias, and analyzing actual orders and shipments for alignment with approved demand plans. This role will be critical in identifying and communicating potential gaps and collaborating with other cross functional teams to incorporate assumptions, market trends, and promotional activities into the forecast.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN:                                                 

Process                                                        35% of time

    Evaluating and helping make demand management more efficient and responsive to the changing needs of both internal and external customers. 

    Support the definition of Demand Planning processes guidelines and policies to ensure best-in-class process function design and implementation. Monitor adherence and maintain exception reporting rhythms to ensure consistency of processes and accuracy of data. 

    Analyze and troubleshoot demand related issues efficiently and accurately. 

    Create statistical forecasts. 


People                                                35% of time

    Establish, nurture, and develop partnerships with demand planning stakeholders.  

    Partner with inventory, operations, sales, and marketing teams to develop forecasts, forecast risks, and mitigation plans. 

    Effectively communicate goals, status changes and other information on a regular basis. 


Tools                                                    15% of time

    Maintain all required parameters in forecasting software. 

    Maintaining forecast processes and systems, including data maintenance. Assist in improving existing data analysis tools. 

    Support demand inputs within ERP that drive planning, operational and procurement processes.  


WHAT YOU KNOW AND HAVE EXPERIENCED:

    2 years of planning or Project Management experience

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to think creatively, 

    Proficient with MS Office tools, including advanced Excel, Power BI, Word, and PowerPoint

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to build customer relationships and effectively communicate throughout all levels of the organization.
