What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Assistant to EVP of Field Ministries position at East-West?
The successful Executive Assistant (EA) to EVP of Field Ministries will walk with the Lord and help the EVP of Field Ministries in their calling to serve and strengthen Christs leaders in East-West to help fulfill the Great Commission. This position will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Field Ministries Core Team, the Field Leadership Team, and will interact with a diverse group of external callers, donors, and visitors as well as internal contacts within all levels of the organization. Independent judgment and initiative are required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload under pressure and deadlines. Critical thinking and sound decision-making skills are necessary to maintain day-to-day operation of the EVP of Field Ministries office. In order to be successful, this employee must garner the respect and confidence of the EVP of Field Ministries and carry out the required functions in an honest, competent, and confident manner. Flexibility, focus, and the ability to constantly re-prioritize are crucial to the success of this position.
Reports to: Executive Vice President of Field Ministries
Location: Plano, TX Headquarters
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Communication support including calendaring, memos, email, preparing meeting agendas and invites, and taking and distributing meeting minutes and follow-up items
- Administrative support for the EVP of Field Ministries including travel arrangements, expense reports, meeting records, and document preparation
- Serve as the point person for the Field Ministries department at large
- Additional support to the Executive Leadership Team as needs arise
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- 2-3 years minimum experience working in a similar role, preferably in a ministry/nonprofit setting
- Excellent administrative skills and acute attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Servant leader and willingness to fill in the gaps wherever needed
- Dependable, discreet, and discerning
- Strong sense of initiative, ownership, and followthrough
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
