Join Our Team: Head Start Family Services Coordinator

What You'll Do:
- Family Services Expert: Connect with service providers to enhance our abuse prevention and parenting education services.
- Recruitment & PR Pro: Assist in recruitment efforts through engaging presentations, public relations, and public service announcements.
- Support Specialist: Provide technical support in parent involvement, family services, and adult mental health across our program.
- Parent Educator: Lead parent education classes, and recruit top-notch speakers and trainers.
- Update Champion: Keep our parent materials updated and relevant.
- Family Engagement Advocate: Promote family involvement in all aspects of our program.
- Performance Monitor: Conduct site visits to monitor performance standards and report findings.
- Data Manager: Utilize our Head Start database to track family progress, home visits, referrals, and more.
- Volunteer Coordinator: Assist in the recruitment, training, and coordination of volunteers.
- Team Trainer: Provide orientation and ongoing training to staff.
What You'll Need:
- Education & Experience: A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Social Services, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. Prefer 2 years of Head Start experience.
- Communication Skills: Proficiency in English, with the ability to write reports and communicate effectively. Spanish proficiency is a plus!
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable using email, internet, and program-specific software.
- Mathematical & Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply basic math concepts and solve practical problems.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and move quickly to ensure the safety of active children.
- Certificates: A valid Idaho driver's license, reliable transportation with current insurance, a childcare license (if required), CPR and First Aid certification (or obtain within 90 days).
Compensation for this full-time, non-exempt position includes a competitive benefits package. The starting wage is $22.75 to $23.75 per hour, depending on experience. The package features a 403B Retirement Plan with a 6% employer match, dental insurance and vision insurance fully paid by EICAP; health insurance with the employee paying just 1% of the premium. EICAP covers 60% of dependent health and dental and vision premiums. Additionally, the benefit package includes group life insurance fully paid by the employer, an employee assistance program, a flexible spending account, employee paid Pet Care Assistance; LifeLock, Legal Assistance; Accident and Critical Care Coverage, along with paid time off, including sick leave, vacation, and paid holidays.
