Staff Nurse - PRN

Under general supervision, plans, directs, and evaluates total nursing care and functions in accordance with established philosophy. Responsible for administering medications to patients as needed while supporting providers with procedures. Performs health care screenings on employees as needed - in our Interventional Radiology department.

• Room patients.

• Take and record vital signs

• Document medications and allergies

• Once vital signs are recorded give chart immediately to midlevel, MD or ultrasound, as applicable

• Start IVs, as needed

• Administer medications, throughout procedure, under the direction of the provider

• Assist patients in the procedure room

• Assist tech with prepping for the procedure

• Place monitor on patient for procedure

• Monitor patient before, during and after procedure

• Assist patients to recovery room and monitor

• Report status update to physician

• Assist patient to vehicle when released by provider

• Port, PICC and Powerline Placements

• Port Removals

• Education: Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license.

• Experience: No post graduate experience required.

• Certification/License/Registration: Valid RN license required. CPR certification required. ACLS Certification required.
