What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Eastern Shore Urgent Care?
Eastern Shore Urgent Care is looking for a qualified medical assistant to deliver high-quality patient care within our healthcare team.
Responsibilities to include but not be limited to:
- Triage- take vital signs and perform intake assessments utilizing EHR system
- Medications- administer both orally and via intramuscular/transdermal injection
- Wound care- clean wounds and apply appropriate bandages, suture removals
- Perform tests- swab patients for viral/bacterial pathogens, perform urinalysis, phlebotomy, EKG
- Call backs- follow up with patients regarding lab results or patient cases/concerns
This position will be mandatory every weekend (unless closed for a holiday). Weekend hours are 8:00AM - 3:00PM Saturday and Sunday with10% shift differential added. Clock out once the last patient is checked out.
