Easton Foundations is Hiring an Archery Coach 2 Near Salt Lake, UT

The Easton Salt Lake Archery Center is a state-of-the-art archery center, featuring indoor and outdoor ranges, and world-class training facilities. The center provides leadership, facilities, programs, training, and education that allows archers to pursue their competitive dreams.

Overview: The archery coach 2 will lead basic level programs, provide support for all other archery programs, and be responsible for administrative duties related to archery programs. In addition, the archery coach 2 will provide operational support before, during, and after events as needed. The position requires flexibility to work evening and weekend hours.

Hours: 30 - 40 hours per week, including weekdays and weekends

Compensation: $17-$18 Hourly DOE

Key Responsibilities:

Archery Program Duties:

  • Effectively run basic level programs with little to no supervision
    • Lead basic level programs including but not limited to youth and adult classes, camps, offsite programs and club events
    • Ability to coach and run intermediate level programs when needed
    • Assist with instructor/coaching certification courses and seminars
    • Register customers for programs within registration management software as needed
    • Assist in recruiting ancillary programs and provide programs outreach
    • Knowledge of program’s archery equipment to provide upkeep, maintenance, and organization with little to no supervision
    • Assist with administrative upkeep of competitive program training documents
    • Recruit and schedule yourself for private lessons with students
    • Assist with all other archery programs and activities as needed
    • Embody the Easton Foundation program’s principles of fun, community and balance

Event Duties:

  • Assist when needed for facilitation of center events
    • Assist in the setup and breakdown of events and activities as needed
    • Ability to set up an event’s field of play with little to no supervision
    • Act as tournament judge when needed
    • Knowledge of center’s target bales, stands and all event assets to provide maintenance, when needed, with little to no supervision
    • An understanding of Easton Foundation’s event best practices to provide excellence in all aspects of events

Facility:

  • Assist along with all other staff, tasks to keep the center functioning as efficiently as possible
    • Provide assistance, or lead maintenance projects when tasked to do so
    • An understanding of front desk practices with the ability to act as receptionist if needed
    • Other tasks as directed

Key Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Coaching experience 1 year minimum
  • Possess level 2 USA Archery instructor certification (Training Provided)
  • USA Archery judging certification (Training Provided)
  • Understanding of facility registration software
  • CPR, First-Aid, etc., (training provided).
  • Be able to safely operate common power and hand tools.
  • Must be able to work well with children, adults and special needs persons.
  • Must be able to work all scheduled hours including evenings, weekends, holidays and
  • Work non-standard hours as needed.
  • Social media skills.
  • Ability to lift targets and other items of a heavy nature averaging 50 pounds in weight and other physical functions as needed.
  • Maintain good attendance on the job.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
