Easton Utilities is currently seeking to fill the position of Vehicle Fleet Maintenance II or III/Team Leader
JOB OBJECTIVE: To maintain, repair and keep in safe working condition, all of Easton Utilities’ vehicles and equipment including bucket trucks, cars, pickup trucks, tractors, pumps, compressors, chain saws, mowers, hydraulic presses, tamps and associated equipment.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position with on-call requirements.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be capable of physical work that includes lifting, pulling, bending and carrying tools and equipment.
- Must wear proper PPE at all times.
- Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate sounds and visual cues or signals.
- Exposure to adverse environmental conditions such as odors, fumes, temperature and noise extremeness, machinery, vibrations, or traffic hazards.
- Must have a valid MD Class A CDL.
- Thorough knowledge of the methods, tools, and equipment used in the repair of vehicles, specialized equipment, and small engines to include procedures for diagnosing malfunctions and performing technical repairs as well as the operation and maintenance of assigned vehicles and equipment.
- Minimum Seven years automotive mechanic experience to include at least one year of diesel engine repair/maintenance experience.
- ASE-A Certification with ASE-T certification preferred or ability to obtain within one year.
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
- In addition to the requirements for Vehicle Fleet Maintenance II;
- Minimum 10 years automotive mechanic experience to include at least three years of diesel engine repair/maintenance experience.
- ASE-T certification with a minimum three years working with on and off-road diesel equipment equipped with DEF systems.
- Must demonstrate proficiency with advanced vehicle diagnostic tools (SnapOn, ThinkTool, Autel or equal).
- Master Technician Certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) required (or ability to obtain in 12 months).
- Experience leading a team or overseeing the work of others in a vehicle repair facility.
Salary : $28 - $30
