Short Run Assembler

Responsibilities:
Assembly
- Collect all materials and equipment needed to begin the assembly process
- Follow guidelines and work instructions on military and standard jobs
- Align material and put together parts to build more complex units
- Sort and/or repair nonconforming parts (NCMRs)
Powder Coating
- Prepare parts for coating
- Follow all principles and practices of powder coating application
- Operate all coating equipment including guns, hoppers, oven and booth collection systems
- Ensure that all components are produced/coated effectively and are consistent with company established goals for quality and customer orders
Packing/Vent
- Follow packing list to pack assembled parts in boxes
- Pack boxes on pallets
- Develop mailing labels and shipping documents
- Keep accurate records of shipments
- Ensure orders are filled correctly
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Education:
- Experience in reading blueprints
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong computer skills
- Familiarity with ISO standards
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in noisy, greasy, manufacturing environments.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, and climb as necessary.
- Visual acuity to read instructions, micrometers, blue prints, and inspect parts produced.
