What are the responsibilities and job description for the Offshore Tank and Vessel Cleaner position at Ecoserv, LLC?
Overview
Ecoserv is looking for a new crew member that can perform confined space entry and serve as an attendant, designated rescue tech, or equipment operator on all customer locations.
Duties
1. Personnel must be able to travel to remote sites and work/live on remote and/or all customer offshore locations.
2. Must be able to enter confined spaces.
3. Responsible for monitoring the authorized entrants and performs all attendant's duties assigned in the Confined Spaces Program.
4. Rescues employees from Permit-Required Confined Spaces if needed.
5. Operates various equipment including Mini Vac, air compressor, pressure washers, and diaphragm pumps. Monitors cutting box container.
6. Stages and sets up task-associated equipment, rigging of equipment, physically pulling of transfer hoses, suction pump setup, pressure washer setup, mini-vacuum setup, air compressor setup, hammer wrench/pneumatic impact, cold cutting saw use for pipe/ bolts, manually or pneumatic chipping of paint/rust, climbing of stairs or ladders, work from scaffolding or elevated work platforms, manually shoveling and/or bucketing product for removal and other labor-intensive duties.
7. Performs pressure washing in extreme hazardous conditions through the routine usage of pressure washers (up to 20k psi) and vacuum pumps when cleaning out vessels and containers.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid TWIC in hand.
- Previous experience in a cleaning role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Good physical stamina; ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform tasks that require bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
