Seeking a proficient Semi Truck Driver to join our Sarasota, FL team and contribute positively. Play a vital role in providing dependable and courteous service to our esteemed customers, while upholding community cleanliness and safety standards. We are in need of skilled semi-truck drivers to support the transportation of construction waste utilizing a 100-walking floor / tipper trailer. Your primary responsibility will involve transferring debris from local transfer stations in Sarasota Manatee counties to a landfill in Arcadia, usually completing a 3 to 4-hour round trip on a daily basis. Responsibilities :
- Safely drive a semi-truck to transport construction debris from local transfer stations in Sarasota & Manatee counties to a Sarasota landfill
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with Dispatch, Supervisor, and driver team to ensure excellent customer service on various routes and schedules
- Manage the loading and unloading of waste materials at designated facilities
- Conduct thorough pre-and post-trip inspections on the vehicle to ensure proper functionality and promptly address maintenance issues
- Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and promptly report any safety concerns to leadership Qualifications :
- Must possess a valid CDL class A license with at least 2 years of driving experience
- Proficient in reading maps and utilizing navigational devices
- Willingness to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and some holidays
- Strong time management skills to efficiently and safely complete assigned routes
- Ability to adapt to changes quickly
- Excellent problem-solving abilities to handle unexpected situations
- Team player mentality, fostering respectful interactions and collaboration with colleagues Compensation : $22 - $25 hourly
